What we collect

Information you give us

If you email us or submit the contact form, we receive your email address and whatever you write in the message. We use it only to reply, and we do not add you to a mailing list without your consent. The contact form is handled by Web3Forms , a third-party form processor that forwards your submission to our inbox and does not display or otherwise use it. See the Web3Forms privacy policy for how it handles submissions in transit.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our host records standard server logs: IP address, browser user agent, requested page, referring page and timestamp. These are used for security and to diagnose faults.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand which articles are read. It is cookieless — it does not use any client-side identifier and cannot track you across other websites. It records aggregate metrics only: page views, approximate country, referring site and device type. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.

Cookies

• Essential. The site itself is static and sets no login or tracking cookies of its own.
• Affiliate cookies. When you click a link to a retailer, that retailer may set a cookie so it can attribute a later purchase to us. These cookies are set by the retailer, on the retailer's domain, under its own privacy policy. Typical lifetimes range from 24 hours to 30 days.
• Analytics cookies. None. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless by design.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Third parties

We share data with the following third parties, each under its own privacy policy:

• Amazon Associates — when you click an outbound product link, Amazon may set its own tracking cookie to attribute a later purchase to this site. We do not control or receive this data ourselves.
• Cloudflare — hosts the site and provides Web Analytics (see above).
• Web3Forms — processes contact form submissions (see above).
• Google Fonts — web fonts are requested from Google's font CDN when a page loads.

We do not control and are not responsible for these services' privacy practices. Review their policies before sharing personal data with them.

How long we keep data

Emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry. Server logs are rotated by our host on its standard schedule. Analytics data is retained in aggregate.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability (UK/EU GDPR), or to know what is collected and to opt out of its sale (California CCPA/CPRA — we do not sell personal information). To exercise any of these, email hello@windowsillharvest.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
